Former beauty queen Carolina Flores Gomez shot dead by mother-in-law

A tragic incident has been reported in Mexico, where former beauty queen Carolina Flores Gomez was allegedly shot and killed by her mother-in-law.

According to international media reports, the incident took place on April 15 in the upscale Polanco area of Mexico City. A video that has surfaced shows 27-year-old Carolina Flores Gomez was inside her home when her mother-in-law approached her from behind and suddenly opened fire.

Reports say that when the victim’s husband came out of the room holding their child, the accused said, “She made me angry.” Later, the husband said, “She is my family,” to which the mother-in-law replied, “You are mine, this woman took you away from me.”

The husband filed a report the next day at the Mexico City Prosecutor’s Office regarding the incident. According to police, the suspect is on the run and a search is ongoing. Carolina Flores Gomez had won the title of Miss Teen Universe Baja California in 2017.
